In this section we present a brief timetable of eclipses, meteor showers, or planetary positions and conjunctions happening this month.
In February, the skies are relatively quiet, the only event of focus this month is Mercury’s greatest elongation.
10th – Mercury hits its greatest elongation and is visible after sunset. Click the image below for a full screen view of the planet 45 minutes after sunset on the Monday 10th. The viewing opportunity is not great and it’s a short window, but see Mercury just 9° above the horizon.
